Dehradun(Ankit Tiwari): After participating in the two-day “Siksha Sanwad – Chitan Shivir 2025” organized by the Higher Education Department, Prof. Lavani R. Rajvanshi, Principal of PG College, Jayharikhal, visited the office of Sain Srijan Patal in Jogiwala on Friday. Prof. K.L. Talwar, Convenor of Sain Srijan Patal, welcomed her with a bouquet of flowers.
Prof. Rajvanshi, a recipient of the First State-Level Swami Vivekananda NSS Award, toured the Patal office and praised its activities wholeheartedly. She remarked that even after retirement, Prof. Talwar selflessly guides youth in a creative direction. His efforts to provide scholarships to meritorious students, awards to the best NSS volunteers, honors to girls, and to disseminate the cultural heritage of Uttarakhand to the masses through the monthly magazine are commendable.
The Patal office houses an impressive collection and display, including a newspaper from August 15, 1947, pencil sketches by student artist Ajay Kumar, a news writing kit prepared for students, 20 issues of the NSS state-level newsletter Yuva Sankalp, and various paper clippings — all of which were appreciated as exemplary.
Prof. Talwar mentioned that during their service at Government College, Barkot, Uttarkashi, both of them managed all National Service Scheme activities with full dedication, resulting in numerous students participating in national programs and receiving state-level awards.
On this occasion, Sain Srijan Patal presented Prof. Rajvanshi with a memento and copies of the Sain Srijan Magazine. Neelam Talwar, Akshat, and staff from Insidee Creative Media were also present.
